My name is Birgitte. I began to write poetry 3 years ago. God is never late and what you are about to read on my homepage - God has put into my heart.

when I was baptized as an adult and as I celebrated this special day with my Bible group and family, I mentioned in my welcome speech, that in my prayers, I would ask God for help to express myself. I needed His help to speak His wisdom – just like Moses asked God for help.

God answered Moses and God said: “Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say”. Exodus cap 4 v 12 NIV

Moses also later on got help from his brother Aron to pass on the words from God…….

I get inspired when I read the Bible, having conversations with my Bible Group. My poetry is a reformulation, and it reminds me of the important things in life. God’s love and the importance of always to carry it with us.

The poems are about the history, our history, God, Jesus Christ, The Holy Spirit, the fruit of the Spirit, love, grief, peace, joy – all mentioned are a reminder of what we should remember.

Some poems are short, some longer, but the essence is to remember what we all have learned;

Jesus Christ died on the cross – for us

As you read my poems, it is my wish and hope that something has or will be awaken in you. You can reflect on a feeling, a memory or maybe a thought comes and reminds you of something you might have forgotten – or maybe you get curious and want to read the Bible yourself.
