Gratitude

Gratitude

“I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me trustworthy, appointing me to his service.”

1 Timothy cap 1 v 12 NIV

I thank God, my Father, for this gift He has intrusted to me. I now have an opportunity to share the history, the gospel – to share it through my Poetry of God. I am thankful for the inspiration He gives me to write – as I sit down at the table to write poetry - You - God, are with me all the way.

I thank my family, my husband and our two girls. They are not where I am - in faith, but once an a while they listen to my excitement regarding what I receive from God. I thank them all for their support, as I am going public with Poetry of God.

Thank you, girls, for your ideas to promote my poetry. This journey has just begun.

A special thanks to Brian. In the fall of 2022 he very carefully asked me; “do you believe in God”? I now know God taped your shoulder, because I needed the word of God – and now in faith of God, I know what it means never to stand alone, even when the world falls apart around me. Since then, I have only received love.

Thank you for driving back and forth to our Bible Group meetings and for the many inspiring conversations. Thank you for sharing your history and being a witness to mine.

I thank each and everyone in my Bible Group.

Your knowledge, insight and presentation of what we read leaves me astonished and full of respect of your interpretations of the Word

Like a sword many of you cut to the core of the gospel and you bring light to what might seem difficult. I am thankful for the fellowship we share and our confidence. I feel the love of God from each one of you. Thank you for joining me on this journey.

I thank you who read this. It has taken me a while to go public with Poetry of God – and send these very personally poems out in the world. Our world is changing and sometimes it is difficult to cope with these changes and find a solid foundation.

There is a foundation to be found, and I found it - believing in God. To have faith in God is a solid foundation; it leaves you safe in a world where everything and everybody seem to run so fast.

I want to encourage you to slow down, stop, find your special spot in nature and close your eyes. Breathe and feel….

Believe – you are not alone in this world.

Thank You, God

Thank You, God

When we ask – we shall receive

Because when we do

It proves that we believe

Thank You, God

When we seek – we will find

Because when we do

You will not leave us behind

Thank you, God

When we knock – the door will open

Because when we do

It is Your words being spoken

Thank You, God

When we knock, seek and ask

It all comes together – now we understand

The present, future and the past.

You live in me

The purpose of life

What could it be

Living alone

Or having with You beside me

Knowing Your word

And living by Your will

Giving Your love to others

Your promise to fulfill

The purpose of life

Is having You in my heart

Makes my life worthwhile

We shall never live apart

Because I am in faith

Where You want me to be

You will show me the way

Because You live in me.

Thank You, Father

Thank you Father

I get the message now

I get it – You have shown me how

To get these poems out in the open

Without them

Your words through me

Will not be spoken

I thank the Holy Spirit for guidance

I thank you Jesus – you say

“don’t you rest in silence”

“Use the gift you are given”

“In the book it is written”

“We are always by your side”

“Speak up – you don’t have to hide”

My Father – My Lord above it all

Thank You for showing

This gift You have given – it isn’t small

Thank You – I know

You’ll guide me what to say

In time when I stand before you

Into your Kingdom come - I may
