My peace & I
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God”.
Matthew cap 5 v 9 NIV
When I feel a discord or strife inside or around me, I seek advice and counsel from God. Sometimes I need to be quiet and not speak, sometimes I do speak. It is important to make peace and not contribute to a discord which leads to no peace.
But it is so easy to say “do this or do that and everything will be alright”.. Those words may be said with the best intentions, but I can not determine how they are preceived by the person I am speaking to.
Often, I think this is how things can escalate – we are on different pages – and here comes the discord or strife.
In prayer Jesus is learning his disciples “-may your will be done on earth as it is in heaven – and forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us.” Matthew cap 6 NLT.
In these words, in this prayer - there is peace. These words are a direct recipe to gain peace. The right peace. A peace through God.
If I let His will be done, things often - or actually every time - turns out much better then if I force my own will to be done. When I forgive – I will find much more peace than if I didn’t.
In James cap. 3 v 5-6 NLT - we can read very good example how to make peace or strife – depends who you read it. “-the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. And among all the parts of the body, the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself”.
There are many examples and descriptions in the Bible on how we can maintain peace, but only if our tongue speaks of love and with a caring voice the peace will surround us.

Here, there can be no doubt of
That when you put your trust in Him
He will always let the light shine within
Now listen to the voice in your heart
And the words inside your head
Listen to them, as they inside of you will spread
Things are now forever in the right place
Because you let our Father in
To receive His peace and His grace
Now your new life will begin

Forever to keep
You have to choose to walk the path
Never doubt His love, never let it pass
Hold on to your faith, once it’s there
Believe in our Father
He will always care
He will lift you up
To sit at His table
To feast with Him makes you able
To see His grace and love for you
As long as you in Him believe
He will be true to you.
